Welcome to Bert Bark Inn! We are Roshni & Lana, enthusiasts of Newfoundland, travel, environmental sustainability, and fun. After spending several years in Newfoundland & Labrador's capital, St. John's, we decided to take our passions to the other side of the rock, to the beautiful and tranquil Codroy Valley.
Bert Bark Inn derives its name from our fathers' surnames. Lana's father, Terry Thorimbert, and Roshni's father, Ashakant Nimbark, were both lovers of the great outdoors and having a good time. Both Terry and Kant passed away in 2003 when we were young, and the name and aim of this hostel represent our way of commemorating these two fine gentlemen.
So come hang out! Whether you're looking for an upbeat dance party in the Thorni Lounge, various outdoor excursions, tasty garden fresh produce, or a quiet place to collect your thoughts like in our geodesic dome greenhouse, the Bert Bark Inn is here for you.
*UPDATE: DUE TO COVID-19, WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING ONE PARTY AT A TIME. SO PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL HAVE THE ENTIRE HOSTEL TO YOURSELF. YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OWN SEPARATE ENTRANCE.
